Tech Tip: Canvas Mobile App

Prior to this assignment, I had already downloaded the Canvas mobile app. I think apps are so great, because they have made them more personable. It is nice to have things easily accessible, because of the busy world we live in. The Canvas mobile app has helped me better keep up with all of my grades. I used to have to constantly pull out my laptop, just so I could frequently check my grade updates. However, Canvas has given me flexibility and convenience with the application. 

One of my favorite features of the app, is that once something is graded you get notified. Additionally, you get an email notification within canvas, and a notification sent to your OU email. There are certain features you can set up to filter notifications or choose what goes into your inbox. Also, using the Canvas app has provided me with much needed organizational relief, when it comes to my numerous courses. If I don't feel like using my computer, I can just open the app on my phone and access everything from there. It is especially useful because it has a calendar with deadlines and a to do list set up. So, if you are prone to forgetting assignments or getting behind, the Canvas app is a useful tool to combat that.

Overall, having Canvas on my phone, is something that I am very appreciative for. I am a better student because of it. Previous programs I have used at different universities, do not offer this luxury. So, I am thankful to have the opportunity to take advantage of a technological tool that enhances my learning experience.
