In my lifetime, I have been to several beautiful places. However, one place has particularly served as a personal escape and increased the aroma of a flourishing livelihood for me. That place is Naples, Florida. The first time I journeyed to Naples was in the winter of 2016. It was the perfect time to travel somewhere sunny and bright, because it was snowing and frigid in Tulsa, Oklahoma. There are no words to describe the allure that encompasses Naples, Florida besides a breath of fresh air. I vacationed in Naples for two weeks with family friends, and I truly have never felt more at peace. During my two week stay, I created friendships with people from different states and celebrated the New Year. My toes in the sand and stars bright in the sky, constitutes where my favorite place resides. There is something so calming about being in Naples. The environment is one that allows you to reflect on your life positively without limitation. In Naples, Florida home does not feel like a stranger. In Naples, Florida I am home.

  1. That sounds lovely, Lillian! One of my best friends online (but whom I've never met in person) lives in Naples. I'm hoping that maybe someday I will find a good excuse to go visit there, and I hope you will get to back someday soon!

    1. Professor Gibbs, you should definitely go and visit! I highly recommend it. I think once you go, you will know exactly what I am talking about. I hope to return to Naples, Florida soon, because I could definitely use a vacation.

  2. Hey Lillian! I have never been to Florida before but Naples Florida sounds very cool! i would love to go. You did an awesome job of describing what it is like to be there! I have been to lots of mountains and National Parks and such but I have never been to Florida or really spent much time on beaches before but your description of Naples makes me want to!

  3. Florida is also one of my favorites places but I'm always a little bit up to the north in the Panhandle. Just like everyone else my family would always go to Seaside or Rosemary Beach. I like to think that we were the trendsetters with Rosemary and the area because we went there when it was nowhere near as big. Going in January up there is nothing like going to southern Florida in January. It is still pretty chilly and spending time at the beach isn't always the best. It's just that little bit hotter down near Naples so I can bet it is a great place.
